Anthony - Owner/Baker at Daisy & The Nettle
I have been a qualified chef for 15+ years and found my true passion lies in baking. It wasn't until after I met my wife, that the idea for my own business became reality and I created the brand Daisy & The Nettle.
In 2024, we started gathering a Facebook following through pre-ordered cakes, bakes and our original combo boxes. We took on a small commercial contract for a local Tea Room and provided their weekly bakes for a time.
In 2025, I took the plunge to become self employed when I was faced with some life changing decisions. This allowed me the time to branch out into celebration cakes, expand on my skills and redesign our surprise combo boxes.
In May 2025, I decided to build a cake shed after seeing videos on TikTok.
This gave me passing trade and enabled me a space to try out new recipes and to expand my popular cookie pie menu. Although it is advertised as self service, I am always there and this gave me the opportunity to speak to my customers, get their feedback and talk about what else my business can do.
In the end, the dream is to have a shop of my own and every sale gets me that step closer.

Our Specialties
Cake Hub
Our Self Serve Cake Hub on Norton Avenue, Norton. The Hub is open 3 days a week with a wide variety of bakes and deals. Reopening March 2026.

Home Kitchen
We are a fully certified and insured home kitchen with a 5* food hygiene rating. All our bakes are made fresh and are packaged on the premise. Unfortunately we are not an allergen free environment, so all our products are labelled as allergens present.

Bakes & Cakes
We offer a range of bakes and cakes, such as cookie pies, old school sprinkle cake, brownies and stuffed cookies. Our popular bakes return weekly, but we do like to have different flavours every week. All available weekly in our Cake Hub or in our postal surprise mixed boxes.
We also offer a pre order menu for occasion cakes and cupcakes. These can be ordered through our Facebook page.
